Marcella "Marcy" Harlan Melton, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018. She was born on September 6, 1942 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Marcy was a member of Westside Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, traveling back roads and doing crossword puzzles. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Raymond Harlan and Catherine Jones Harlan. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Melton of Dalton; sister in law, Sally Chandler of Chattanooga; nieces, Laura Dyer, Carolyn Chandler, Lisa Cowles, Jana Koch, Lesli Larmon and Jenny Larmon; cousins, Ronnie Morehead, David Stewart, Preston Harlan, Larry McDonald and Gary Poston. To celebrate the life of Marcella "Marcy" Harlan Melton the family will be receiving friends for visitation at 12:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2018 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro.
