Mariam Ruth Carter, age 81, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Reginald "Reggie" Carter; her parents, Gary and Susie Crawford; and 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Gregory and Tammy Carter of Dalton; daughter and son in law, Karen and John Anderson of Dalton; grandchildren, Rachel and Steve Taylor, Paul and Kylie Carter, Christy Choate and John Choate; and brother, Mac "Barney" Crawford. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mariam Ruth Carter will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
