Mr. Marion George Chastain, age 76, of Dalton, GA. passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born on April 26, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, Broughton Marshall Chastain and Jaunita "Kincaid" Chastain; and sister, Dianne Duckett. He was a member of Dalton Masonic Lodge 105 for 53 years. He was the Past Master of Dalton Lodge. He was a dedicated member of the Dalton Shrine Club and Yaarab Shrine in Atlanta for over 50 years. He was the past president of Dalton Shrine Club in 2014. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Chastain of Dalton; son of his heart, Marshall Chastain (Shelia); daughter, Rhonda Chastain (Keith Hoover) of Winchester, TN; grandchild, Brittney Phillips; great-grandchildren, Colton and Nevaeh Phillips; and fur baby, Bandit. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Marion George Chastain will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Guffey and Bro. Keely Hasty officiating. Interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
