Ms. Martha Louise Franks, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, February 21, 2022. She was born on February 19, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tonie Lofty and Ethel "Massinggill" Lofty; son, William Lee Knight; daughter, Helen Tucker; brother, Dan Lofty; and sisters, Gerter Weeks, Nancy Rogers, Tony B. Smythers, Sally Baker, and Stella Workman. She is survived by her son, Paul Knight and Paulette Knight of Rocky Face; daughters, Sally and Bucky Franklin of Ranger and Patricia Howell of Dalton; brother, Bill Lofty of Dalton; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Martha Franks will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Franklin and Bro. Mike Cummings officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00-2:00 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
