Martha A. Saylor Bishop, age 92, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. She was born June 22, 1931. Mother was known for her hospitability, generosity, Empathy, and her smile. Her love for flowers and home cooking. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Virgil Carrol Saylor; second husband, Roy Gene Bishop; parents, Johnny Dalton and Daisy 'Owens' Dalton; son, Virgil Alfred Saylor; daughter, Betty Jo Saylor; brothers, Jessie Dalton, Albert Dalton, Joe Dalton, Charlie Dalton; sisters, Helen Pine, Rosie Coffelt, Nola Bramlett, Bessie Poe. She is survived by her sons, Charlie Saylor of Dalton, Ga, Lloyd Saylor of Dalton, Ga; daughters, Shirley Campbell and J.C Rittenhouse of Ringgold, Ga, Joyce and Donald Flowers of Dalton, Ga, Teresa Bishop of Dalton, Ga; grandchildren, Jamey Townsend, Travis Saylor, Johnathan Dunn, Johnathan Campbell, Donna Finney, Tracy Campbell, Lisa Sloan, Amanda Head, Angie Saylor, Allie Saylor, Courtney Day; several great grandchildren; abundance of nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Martha Bishop will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Chaplain Rick Gillert officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
