Marvin Leonard Talkington age 69, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Marvin Talkington, born August 18, 1956, in Flat Rock, Alabama, was the son of the late Leonard Talkington and Elizabeth Florence Talkington. He dedicated many years of hard work and loyalty to Lady Madison before retiring. Marvin found joy in staying active and especially loved spending time at the gym.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annette Weaver Talkington, and his parents.

Marvin leaves behind a family who loved him deeply: his daughter and son‑in‑law, Jessica and Jacob Allen; his son, Brandon Talkington; and four cherished grandchildren—Paisley Allen, Lilly Allen, Caleb Allen, and Nathan Talkington. He is also survived by three brothers, Kenneth Talkington, Hershell Talkington, and Mark Talkington; four sisters, Wanda White, Phyllis Thompson, Louise Strong, and Marcia Aveni; along with several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Dalton Funeral Home.
