Mary Louise Ball, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018. She was born on May 28, 1943. Louise attended Valley Point High School. She worked at Pinon Rug Company for 32 years and Brock Machine for 14 years. Louise enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, making baby dolls and flower arrangements, and cooking for everyone. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Edward Gene Ball; mother, Hazel Marie Hayes; father, Gordon Lee Hayes; granddaughter and great grandson, Melissa Ball and Grayden Whitmore; grandson, Christopher Ball; sister, Ollie Weaver; brothers, Johnny Hayes and LeRoy Hayes. She is survived by her son, Lee Ball of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Randy and Angelia Teem of Resaca, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Danielle Ball of Soddy Daisy, TN; son and daughter–in-law, Lamar and Vicky Ball of Resaca, GA; sons, Earl Brewster and Larry Long; grandchildren, Kayilee Martin, Randy Teem, Mandi Ball, Allen Ball, Lamar Green, Brittany Apple, Jessica Heemskerk, Ashley McRee, Cole and Mary Grayson Hamrick; 9 great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Sally Ralston; sisters, Shirley Skidmore, Jane Land, Jewel McBrayer; brothers, Tommy Hayes, Charlie Bailey and Roy Hayes. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Louise Ball will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Cofield officiating. Interment will be at Casey Springs Cemetery in Chatsworth, GA. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Randy Teem, Jr., Allen Ball, Lamar Green, Jared Martin, Earl Brewster and Chuck Ball will be serving as pallbearers.
