Mary Gazaway, age 86, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was born on June 18, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Bertha Lumpkin; brother, John Henry Lumpkin; and sister, Margaret Wofford. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Harold Gazaway; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Melba Gazaway, Danny and Cindy Gazaway, Timmy and Cheryl Gazaway, Johnnie and Kristie Gazaway; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Bart Harden; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Gazaway will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will be at Poplar Springs Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 4-8 PM Saturday at Dalton Funeral Home.
