Mary Magdalene Norton, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born on December 11, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Norton; parents, Henry and Lora Parks; brothers, Reed Parks, Edwin Parks, Billy Parks, James Parks, Raymond Max Parks; sisters, Ruby Parks, Hazel Wofford; and a granddaughter, Ella Bryson. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Mary and David Allen of Ellijay; son and daughter in law, Joseph and Leah Norton of Dalton; brothers, Fred Parks, Bobby Parks; sisters, Betty Witt, Paula Davis; grandchildren, Lora Norton, Shae Dillard, Chris Bryson, Greg Allen; great grandchildren, Kimi Bryson, Zane Bryson; and a great great grandson, Harrison Hall. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Magdalene Norton will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with family and friends giving the eulogy. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
