Our beloved mother, grandma, and friend Mary Jane Rhear born April 18, 1946 went to be with her lord and savior on Friday, April 10, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was a source of love and warmth to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Her kindness, generosity and gentle soul touched the lives of all who she came in contact with throughout her lifetime. Her memory will live in our hearts forever.

She was a woman who truly loved her family and her lord and savior. She battled this life with peace and grace knowing that she was a winner either way. So please join us in celebrating her life and legacy on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Dalton Funeral Home at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 2:00 PM until the service hour of 4:00 PM.

She is survived by her children, George and Loretta McCollum, Brenda Stokes, Charlie and Lisa Stokes, Grady and Cindy Stokes, brother-in-law James Griggs, Sister-in-law, Shelby Jean Henderson, several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Samuel Rhear, grandson, Matthew Stokes, siblings, Helen Smith, Brenda Griggs, Rev. Sam Henderson, Rev. Dwight Henderson, Bunnie Sue Bearden, Joe Henderson, Mary McKeehan, and Perry Henderson.
