Mary Ann Simpson, age 61, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born on August 3, 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Simpson; parents, James and Mary Ruth Brock; and a brother, Wayne Brock. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Becky Simpson and Jimmy Hunter of Dalton, Valarie and Chris Crider of Dalton; brother, David Brock of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Brenda Jatta of Dalton, Barbara and Leroy Jones of Dalton; grandchildren, Thomas and Linda Turner, Jolonda Brim, Jessica Simpson; great grandchildren, Logan, Rose, Mircile, Hazel; special friend, Glenn Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Ann Simpson will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Brock officiating. Interment will be at New Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening.
