Mary Joyce Walston, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born on September 2, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Walston; son, Wayne Walston; parents, Paul and Ellen Carter; brothers, Robert Carter, Gene Carter, Jimmy Carter, JR Carter; and a sister, Ruby Curtis Walls. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Judy and Terry Hughes of Dawnville, Sheila Hullender of Dalton, Sandra and Tony McHan of Dalton; brother, Clyde Carter of Dalton; grandchildren, Sherry Hullender, Carrie Griffith, Michael Heard, Cody Walston, Steve Hughes, Timmy Hughes, Brandon Headrick; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A grave side service to celebrate the life of Mary Joyce Walston will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Dawnville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
