Mary Helen White, 69, of Dalton, passed away at her residence on October 10, 2026. She was born in Dalton on October 5, 1957.

Mary will be remembered as a loving woman whose kindness touched many lives. She was funny and silly, a person who loved to laugh, have fun, and watch movies. She was the kind of person who would help anyone, and to those who knew her best, she was truly a legend in her own right. Her warm spirit and joyful nature made her a treasured presence in the lives of her family and friends.

She leaves behind those who loved her dearly, including her son, Shane Mulkey; her daughter, Wendy Nicholson; her significant other of more than 30 years, James Elrod; her sister, Gloria Jackson; and her special niece, Amy Cooper. Each of them carries forward cherished memories of her laughter, her generosity, and the love she gave so freely.

Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Darmon Nicholson, Kenneth Nicholson, and Robert Nicholson, and by her sisters, Carolyn Wilson, Janice Tate, and Vivian Nicholson.

Mary Helen White will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her life was marked by love, humor, and compassion, and her memory will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
