Mattie Lucille Nicholson, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life to go home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was born on January 1, 1935 in Dalton, GA to the late Walter and Susie Beal Bennett.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters; Nellie Teasley, Johnny Stark and Betty Burgess. She is survived by her daughter; Tammy Nicholson, son and daughter in law; Terry and Sandy Nicholson of Dalton, GA, first cousin; Toney Schrivner of Calhoun, GA; Also her faithful, loving pet; Socks. A special thanks to her caregivers and to Homestead Hospice for all their love and to her family who she loved very much. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mattie Lucille Nicholson will be held at 11:00 AM, April 15, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Cindy Bearden and Loretta Stamper will be speaking in honor of her memories. Interment will be at Center Valley Cemetery in Chatsworth, GA.
