Melinda Moreno, age 60, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away, August 20, 2022. She was born on September 18, 1961. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Ponders; brothers, Sammy Ponders, Bobby Ponders; sisters, Arcil McGill, Geneva Miller, Joyce Miller, Sandra Green She is survived by her son, Randall Jr. and Camilla Chastain of Dalton; daughters, Amy and Charles Davis of Dalton, Tonna Coleman of Elkhorn City, Ky.; brothers, Marvin Ponders of Cohutta, Billy and Betty Ponders of Dalton, Ed and Tina Ponders; grandchildren, Kalista, Waylan, Chase, Hayden, Logan, Katelyn, Everley, Ava; special friend, Cynthia Thompson of Dalton; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Melinda Moreno will be held in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joey Ineichen will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
