Melissa Lee Ball, age 27, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 along with her precious son Grayden Lee Whitmore. She was born on May 19, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Gene Ball. Melissa is survived by her father, Edward Lee Ball of Dalton; mother and stepfather, Barbara Goforth and Danny Hollifield of Ringgold; grandparents, Louise Ball of Dalton, Charles and Doris Holmes of Ringgold; aunts and uncles, Donna and David Colbard of Ringgold, Angie and Randy Teems of Calhoun; sister and brother-in-law, Mandi Ball and Mark Wilson of East Ridge; friend, Jesse Hall of Calhoun; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Melissa Lee Ball will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Randy Teems and Dr. David Flood officiating. Interment will follow at Casey Springs Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 till 9:00 PM on Sunday evening.
