Michael Edward Payne, age 55, of Dalton, GA. passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. He was born February 11, 1969. He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Eddie and Brenda Payne; grandparents, Lush and Nellie Payne, Wilburn and Ella Mae Powell; aunts, Shirley Fortner, Betty Yarbrough, Myrtle Mason, Irene Farner; uncles, Deyo Powell, James Robert Powell Frank Powell, William Payne, Harvey Payne. There is one thing I would have said is that he loved his girls more than anything on earth and prayed for them every day. He cherished time with his family. He loved the Lord and fought through a long and difficult disability and sickness with dignity and faith. And he is now whole and healed rejoicing with His Savior! He is survived by his daughters, Mallory Payne, Madilyn Payne; sister, Tammy (John) Rockholt and family; ex-spouse and close friend, Debra Payne; special neighbor, Lugene Imms; aunts, WillaMae Lathan, Louise Powell, Evelyn Jarrett; uncles, Paul Powell, Eugene Powell and many cousins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Edward Payne will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Brock officiating. Interment will be West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
