Mike Chitwood, age 59, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was born January 16, 1956 in Oneida, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Chitwood and Mary Hatfield; a brother, Jackie Smith; and a sister, Mary Ruth Maney. Mike is survived by his wife, Alicia Chitwood of Chatsworth; son and daughter in law, Kevin and Ashley Chitwood of Belton, MO; daughter, Lisa Chitwood of Chatsworth; mother in law, Ruth Jones; brother, Arthur Hatfield of Oneida, TN; sisters, Glennis Robbins and Sharon Foster both of Oneida, TN; grandchildren, Devon Chitwood, Cody Wright and Shelly Wright; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mike Chitwood will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Chatsworth Church of God with Rev. Shane Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Friday evening.
