Mrs. Mildred Inez Loftis Lawson, age 91, of Dalton, Ga., passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lawson Sr.; daughters, Judith L. Barrett and Cathy Lawson; grandson, Walter Brock; parents, Jessie and Oconee Loftis; and brothers, Wayne Loftis, Bill Loftis, and Jerry Loftis.

Mrs. Lawson was a long-time resident of this area. She worked in the printing industry for many years. She was always known for being a kind and loving person. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son Glenn Lawson Jr. (Karen); daughters, Michelle Young (Bryan) and Lynnette Lawson; grandchildren, Beth teems (Mike), Christi Mcelfrech (Ryan), Jim Barrett, Paige Debity (Dylan), Crystal Brock, Tabitha Brock, Christopher Lawson, Samantha Pless (Bryan), Taylor Oilvares (Daniel), Jessi Swafford, Allyson Young, and Kylee Lawson; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grand children.

A service to celebrate Mildred’s life will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 4:00 pm at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home.
