Mitchell Edwin Bandy, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015. He was born November 16, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dixie Bandy; sisters, Joan Davis and Evelyn Davis. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Carolyn Bandy of Dalton; sons and daughter in law, Michael and Loree Bandy of Dalton, Travis Bandy of Dalton; daughter and son in law, Tyra and Billy Grooms of Dalton; brother and sister in law, Billy and Jean Bandy of Decatur, TN; grandchildren, Savanna Bandy, Maggie Bandy, Sabrina Bandy, Mitchell Bandy, Trevis Grooms and Tylan Grooms all of Dalton; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mitchell Edwin Bandy will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 7, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Ballew, Bro. Daryl Ballew and Bro. Danny Cochran officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Sunday evening.
