Myrtle Viola Williams, age 94, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. She was born on February 1, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Williams; sons, Jerry Williams and John Williams; parents, Claude and Pearl Chambers; brothers, Joseph Alexander Chambers, Mitchell Chambers, Walter Chambers and Benny Carl Chambers; sisters, Catherine Dunn, Ethel Mae Chambers Carr and Pearly Ruth Chambers Painter. She is survived by her sons, Cecil Williams of Cohutta and Richard Williams of Dalton; brothers, Billy Ray Chambers of Alabama, Frank M. Chambers of Ringgold and Ronald Leon Chambers of Chatsworth; sister and brother in law, Joann and Robert Brummit of Ringgold; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Myrtle Viola Williams will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Nellie Head Cemetery.
