Ms. Nona Richards, age 64, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born on April 19, 1961. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett L. Woods; her mother, Ruby E. Woods; and her sisters, Kathleen Watson and Patricia Gram. Ms. Richards loved gardening and sitting on the front porch, but most of all, she loved her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Releford, and son Mark Releford Jr., brother Bill Woods, and sisters Ola Grant, Janie Duckett(Ralph), and Dena Cook, grandchildren, River, Boone, Rhett, Reece, Walker, and Jericho.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Nona Richards will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
