Obituary

Ola Mae Duncan, age 88, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, March 18, 2019. She was born on November 10, 1930 in Scott County, TN to John and Carrie Robbins. Ola Mae was very loving and devoted to her family and friends, including her church family at Harmony Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping others and had a long career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Tennessee before she moved to Georgia. Gardening was Ola Mae's passion and her neighbors admired her beautiful flowers. Ola Mae was an extraordinary woman who will be sorely missed and will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Duncan, SR; and her parents, John and Carrie Robbins. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Harvey and Charlotte Duncan of Dalton; daughter and son in law, Carrie Duncan-Berry and David Berry of Pahala, Hawaii; granddaughter, Heather Duncan Greene; and great grandchildren, Nicholas Greene and Janna Greene. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ola Mae Duncan will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Beason, Bro. Lamar Beason and Rev. Gregory Jeffers officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Thursday evening. Ola Mae will also have a service at Four Oaks Funeral Home (586 N. Main St. Oneida, TN 37841) at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Carson Family Cemetery in Oneida. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA 30721; 706-529-5371.
