Oliver David Duckworth, age 73, of Dalton, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was born on July 5, 1949. He is preceded in death by his father, Oliver Duckworth; mother, Delia "Land" Duckworth Wimpy; sisters, Stella Jane Wimpy, Nancy Ann Pierce. He is survived by his brothers, Ron Duckworth, Calvin (Fostene) Wimpy; nieces, Lori and Kaitlin; nephews, Corey, Johnny and Dewight. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Oliver Duckworth will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Cronan officiating. Interment will be held at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
