Oscar Mae Painter, age 75, of Cohutta, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born November 23, 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Charles Painter; parents, Oscar and Panzie Sanford Smith; son, Randall Painter; brother, Freddie Smith. She is survived by her sons, Jerrimey Painter (Angelia), Tracey Painter, Clayton Painter, Steve Painter, Jacob Painter (Shana); daughters, Sandy Painter, Phileshia Gothard; brothers, Gerald Smith, Preston Smith; sisters, Joni Thomas (Randy), Freida Amos (Jeff); grandchildren, Britany, Ryan, Andrew, Megan, amber, Zack, Jeffery, Cody, Emory, Joanna, Bailey, Savannah, Sky, Logan, Haley, Emma, Riley, Alyssa; great grandchildren, Brynlee, Piper, Brantley, Dash, Reid, Freya; like a brother, Skip Lingfelt; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Oscar Mae Painer will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Harper and Brother Shane Franks officiating. Interment will be at Dogwood Valley Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Dalton Funeral Home.
