Patricia Elmes Burnett passed away peacefully in her sleep February 7, 2023 at home. Born October 10, 1934 in Easton, Massachusetts where she spent her childhood. Pat lived throughout the southeast until 1969 when she moved to Dalton. Pat worked as a registered nurse, was on multiple boards of directors, was a volunteer and owned several businesses. She was preceded in death by son Mark Burnett, parents George and Alice Elmes, sister-in-law Sherry Elmes, nephew Chris Elmes, and her children's father Reg Burnett. She is survived by daughters Kathleen (Tinker) Tancrede and Nancy Burnett, her brothers Richard (Judy) Elmes and Chuck Elmes, sister-in-law Kathleen Millman, grandchildren Christy Burnett, Andree McCuiston, Tosha Martinez, Stephen Tancrede and Levi Carroll, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friend Jean Burnett. Her beloved pets Sarah, Sasha and Rook will also miss her. Family will receive visitors at the First United Methodist Church of Dalton on Monday, February 13th at 1:00 pm (family at noon). A Celebration of Life service will be at the church at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society.
