Patsy Jeanette Seritt Shiver, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, October 9, 2015. She was born on September 16, 1942. Pat had a love for the Atlanta Braves. She was known for her patriotism and her love for her country and her support for our military. She was loving to her family and friends, known to many as more than just a friend. She was a tiny lady with a huge heart. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Maude Cleary Seritt; father, Freeman Offit Seritt; brothers, Dub Seritt and Fred Seritt; and a sister, Deborah Seritt Taylor. Pat is survived by her husband, Edgar Eugene Shiver of Dalton, GA; sons and daughters in law, Edgar Dewayne Shiver of Ellijay, GA, Grady Eugene and Katrina Shiver of Thomasville, GA, Daniel Rory and Mary Shiver of Chattanooga, TN; brother and sister in law, Jerry T. and Lynn Seritt of Vernon B.C. Canada; sisters and brothers in law, Shirley Parker of Calhoun, GA, Bertie and Jerry Lands of Dalton, GA, Mary Jo and Allen Cables of Dalton, GA, Brenda and Glenn Elrod of Dalton, GA, Vergie and Steve Dean of Chatsworth, GA; 9 grandchildren, Krista Shiver Green of Thomasville, GA, Blake Shiver of Santa Maria, CA, Colby Shiver of Indianapolis, IN, Randi (John) Such of Thomasville, GA, Alex Shiver of South Pittsburgh, TN, Jenna Shiver of Ellijay, GA, Garrett Quarles of Chatsworth, GA, Hannah Shiver of Chattanooga, TN and Latasha Caylor of Chatsworth, GA; 4 great grandchildren, Kaleb Green of Thomasville, GA, Kayden Ferrell of Moultrie, GA, Easton Jayce Waters of Ellijay, GA and Jadie Waine Such of Thomasville, GA. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Patsy Jeanette Seritt Shiver will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October12, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Bagley officiating. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Serving as pallbearers will be, Clint Putnam, Josh Hales, Matt Quarles, Johnny Brown, Eddie Trammell, Dale Smith, Timmy Ponders, Jodie Holsomback, Lane Dyer, Stacey Shiver and Rickey Seritt.
