Mr. Paul Richard Newman, age 85, of Chatsworth, GA passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born on February 10, 1937. He was preceded in death by his father, Loranzey Newman; mother, Bessie "Bell" Newman Queen; wife, Hazel Beatrice "Pack" Newman; brothers, Solen Newman, Irvin Newman, Abe Newman, John Newman, Owen Newman, and Verlin Newman; sisters, Irene Gilliam, Dorothy Ivey, Thelma Hampton, and Ruby Smith. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, James and Cindy Bingham; daughter and son in law, Rita and Gary L. Johnson; brother and sister in law, Albert and Leta Newman; grandchildren, Tabitha Johnson, Christopher and Lacey Johnson, Minner Johnson, Tara and Cole Ledford; and 6 great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Paul Richard Newman will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Brondy Davis and Rev. Dwight Scott officiating. An additional graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Paul Richard Newman will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church in Calhoun with Pastor Tim Cheathem officiating. Pallbearers are Christopher Johnson, Minner Johnson, Austin Johnson, Ashton Johnson, Cole Ledford, and Michael Young. Honorary pallbearer and best friend is William Silvers.
