Quinton Rogers, 89, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a personal concert performed by friends. Born in Polk County, TN, Quinton lived his entire life in Dalton, GA, where he became a successful businessman, owning several businesses including Union Point Towing & Auto Parts and later Union Point Salvage Yard & Body Shop. He 'retired' in the early 1990s to manage his final business venture, Rogers Rental Properties, which continues to thrive today managed by his children. Known for his fairness and honesty, Quinton was a workaholic who enjoyed quick trips to Daytona Beach. His children fondly recall, "When Dad spoke, you listened." Quinton is preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Poppy and Mommie Locke, parents, Boyd and Marie Rogers; brothers, Roy, George, John, and Jim Rogers; sister, Lavada Helton; and son, Alan Rogers. He is survived by his brothers, Raymond, Doug, and Bunk Rogers; sisters, Shirley Fouts and Josie Faucette; children, Duane (Martha) Rogers, Marie (Dee) Bridges, and Randy (Jennette Cox) Rogers; daughter-in-law, Karen Rogers; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Bonds, Jeremy (Heather) Rogers, Terry (Gina) Rogers, Mandy Osborne, Andrew Rogers, Ashley Rogers, Richard Rogers, Rodney Rogers, and Emily Rogers; great-grandchildren; and his life-long friend, Leon Brindle. Services will be held at Dalton Funeral Home on July 3, 2024, with visitation from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Quinton will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery beside his second wife of 30 years, Mary Helen Rogers.
