Ray Eugene Allen, age 53, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014. He was born on August 16, 1961 in Copper Hill, TN. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Clay Allen SR and Marie Tankersley Allen; brothers, William Allen, Jay Allen, Gary Allen and Jackie Allen; sister, Annie Mae Allen Williams; and a twin brother and sister, Ellis and Ellise Allen. Ray is survived by his brothers and sisters in law, James Winston and Margaret Allen, Joe Allen, Clay JR and Barbara Allen, John and Martha Allen, Wendall and Pat Allen, Tommy Allen, Jimmy and Doris Allen, Stoney Allen, Charles and Mary Allen all of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Ruby Allen Woods of Dalton, Marie West of Chatsworth, Betty Rich of Chatsworth, Linda and Larry Pelfrey of Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ray Eugene Allen will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hasty officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in McCaysville, GA. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 till 9:00 PM on Sunday evening.
