Mr. Ray Edward Bowen, age 73, of Chatsworth, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1949. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie "Blankenship" Bowen; sons, Ray Edward Bowen and Marshall Bowen; brother in laws, Raymond Jackson, Marvin Colter, Gary Newton, Floyd Chambers, Ray Chambers, Steve Chambers; and mother in law, Fredia Chambers. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bowen of Chatsworth; brothers, Jeff and Sharon Bowen of Chatsworth, Ricky and Linda Bowen of Chatsworth; sisters, Wanda and Mack Grooms of Chatsworth, Pauline Colter of Chatsworth, Mary Lou and Jerry Davis of Chatsworth, Diane Jackson of Chatsworth, Charlotte Newton of Chatsworth, Marcelle Keeton of Chatsworth; father in law, Emmett Chambers; brother in law, Eddie and Yvonne Sampson; sister in laws, Brenda Chambers, Brenda Carver, Nancy Teague, Leslie and Vera Chambers; grandchildren, Blake and Cassie Bowen, Monica and Chris Gaddis, John and Mirista Bowen, Bridgette Bowen; 16 great grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ray Edward Bowen will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Old Time Way Baptist Church in Chatsworth with Bro. Tim Sanford officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Chatsworth. The family will be receiving friends for visitation starting at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Old Time Way Baptist Church in Chatsworth.
