Richard Matthew Bishop, age 51, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born September 16, 1972. He was preceded in death by his father, Elisha Bishop Sr. He is survived by his mother, Irene 'Cudd' Bishop; brother, George Bishop Jr and his wife Patricia; sister, Patricia Anne Payne; nephews, Joshua Bishop, Christopher Bishop, Michael A. Payne; numerous great nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Richard Bishop will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastors Wayne Styles, Richard Nixon, and Shane Franks officiating. Interment will be at Varnell Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
