Richard Garner Perry, age 84, of Dalton, Georgia formerly of Scott Co. TN passed away Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born March 8, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Teddy A. Perry and Truie M. Richardson Perry; son, Larry Gray; Infant brother James Perry; brother, Frank Perry; sisters, Jerline Perry, Eliza Grider and Ruby Covington. He is survived by wife, Maxine Wilson Perry of Dalton, Georgia; daughters and son-in-law Patricia Perry of Dalton, GA; Mary and Robert Carroll of Chatsworth, GA; Stella Reece of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Lona Parton of Dayton, Ohio; Hazel and Donald Brummett of Dayton, Ohio; Faye Daugherty of Oneida, TN; Kaye Gastright of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Teddy and Roxie of Dalton, GA; Franklin and Althea Perry of New River, TN; Danny and Cheryl Perry of Robbins, TN; 6 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 11 Great Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. The family will have a Grave Side Service for Richard Perry at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Reed Cemetery at Scott Hwy Helenwood, TN in New River. The Family will be receiving friends for visitation 5-8 PM Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Dalton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
