Riney Bailey Gribble, age 94, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of Crosspointe Church, passed away Wednesday, October 29th, 2025. Born to Mancel and Esther Mae Miller Bailey, Riney lived a life full of warmth, faith, and joy. She dedicated many years to teaching Sunday School, nurturing the spiritual growth of her community. Riney found happiness in life's simple pleasures—traveling, exploring yard sales, and admiring butterflies and flowers. Her love for family was evident in the deep bonds she shared with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Connie Moore; grandson, Jesse Lamar Lewallen; brothers, Louie Traffenstead and Clifford Bailey; sisters, Frances Marcus, Beatrice Gribble, Clara Belle Burns, and Lorene Black; and son-in-law, Thomas Baggett. Riney's legacy lives on through her husband of almost seventy-six years, William "Billy" Gribble; children, Shirley Baggett, Jesse Gribble (Betty), Ginger Guffey (Oney Murphy), and John Gribble (Veronica "Sally"); her grandchildren, Tony Newton, Kimberly Johnson, Christopher Guinn, Keith Guinn, Jessica Moore, Sheena Sheilds, Amanda Blankenship, Justin Guffey, and Taylor Quarles; along with twenty grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, Joyce Starks, Kathryn Cochran, and Carol Gribble; special niece, Debbie Umstead; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 3, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Crosspointe Church with Pastor Michael Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
