Robert Eugene Van Winkle affectionately known as "Bob" age 69 of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was born in Hamilton, OH on May 4, 1947 to Edna & Ralph Van Winkle. He enjoyed going to church, reading his bible, socializing with his neighbors, and his friends at the nearby Nursing Facility. He is survived by his two sons, Tim (Georgie) Van Winkle, and Sean (Amanda) Van Winkle; One daughter, Tina (Steve Meyer) Adkins; One sister, Faye Estes. Bob is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Kara, Sierra, Mia, and Charlie. And numerous other dear family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Ralph Van Winkle, Sr.; his brother, Ralph Van Winkle, Jr., and grandparents. The family wishes to extend a very special Thank You and appreciation to his special cousin and best friend Gene. Viewing and services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with the funeral immediately following from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.
