Robert Joe Fields, age 86, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. He was born November 17, 1938. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Cox Fields; parents, Willie and Lizzie Collins Fields; son, Robert Joe "Bob" Fields Jr.; brothers, Arle Fields, Benny Fields, Tom Fields, Eli Fields, Jessie Fields, Eddie Fields, Silas Fields; sisters, Ethel Craft, Cassey Fields, Sally Miller, Mary Belle Gazaway; granddaughter, Tabatha Kokinda. He is survived by his son, Richard Wood; daughters, Cindy Farmer (Randy), Korena Ward (John), Katherine Barnette (Lamar); brother, Waymon Fields; grandchildren, Amber Plott, Aundrea "Aundi" Woodall Porter, Matthew Worley, Jeffery DeSpain, Wayne Caldwell, Katherine Caldwell, Billy Caldwell, Lacey Teem, Kasi Barnette and several great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Joe Fields will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Keith James Officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Bluff Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Dalton Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside service held at 2:00 pm EST. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Cedar Bluff Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.
