Robert "Wayne" Long, age 58, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born on February 16, 1960. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Robert Long and Hazel Howell Long. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Chelsea and Brad Townsend of Tunnel Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Brenda Long of Dalton, William and Mary Long of Chatsworth, Randall and Rita Long of Resaca, Rob and Misty Long of Dalton; special nephews, Gene and Ginger Long, Joey and Judy Long; special niece, April and Robert Hooper; as well as several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Robert Wayne Long will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Pastor Dewayne Payne will be officiating the service. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
