Robert William Roach, 90, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 while surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 22, 1930. He was preceded in death by the love of his life for 63 years, Dorothy Sue Roach; his parents, Goldman and Rosa Roach; several brothers and sisters; a grandson; and a son-in-law. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Julie Roach of Cohutta; daughters and son-in-law, Debbie Roach Palmer and Doug Palmer of Lafayette, Terrie Roach Burns of Cohutta; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Evelyn Roach of Cohutta; sister, Bonnie Morgan of Cohutta; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends; and special pets. Robert loved his community and was involved with the Cohutta Volunteer Fire Department. He would tell everyone where he lived because after all there "ain't no place like COHUTTA." The family will meet for a private viewing and then there will be a graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery on Thursday, September 2, 2021 with Bro. Mark Henderson and Pastor Steve Spangler officiating. Upon his request he wanted everyone to dress casually. He will be escorted one last time through Cohutta by his residence between 3:30-4:00 PM before arriving at Mount Olivet Cemetery. His final ride will be with an antique John Deer tractor, and a Ford 5000 which is the original tractor that he used for Henderson's Feed and Hardware for many years.
