Robert Stephens, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was born June 8, 1943. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Sue Ramey Stephens; daughters, Nora Loraine Stephens and Mary Belinda Stephens Watkins Hyatt; father, Henry George Stephens; mother, Mildred "Loraine" Moorehead Green; brothers, Clinton Stephens and James "David" Green; sisters, Minnie "Dink" Vera and Myrtle Cabaong; grandparents, Tishia and Presley Moorehead; granddaughter, Bridget Roberts; and a great grandson, Austin Plemons. Robert is survived by his son and daughter in law, Robert "Robbie" and Mary Stephens of Dalton, Bobby "Lamar" McKeehan of Dalton, Kenny McKeehan of Dalton, James McKeehan of Dalton; daughters and son in law, Marie and Marty Turner of Chatsworth; brothers, George Wilburn Stephens, Thomas Daniel Green; sister and brother in law, Mary and Billy Brindle; aunt, Elizabeth Underwood; brother in laws, Harold Ramey, Jimmy and Ginger Ramey; sister in law, Shelby and Eddie Moorer; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Robert Stephens will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Thrasher officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Monday evening.
