Robert William Thomas Chaffin, 70 of Ringgold Georgia departed this life on Friday, May 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family in  his home. Robert was born on November 21, 1945 in Pascagoula Mississippi to the late Walser Seay and Gloria Thomas Chaffin. Surviving are his wife Darlene McClellan; sons  and their wives, Anthony C.  and Sherry Chaffin, Christopher and Angela Chaffin, James and Lisa Owen, daughters Shairl and Roger Fields, Angela and Bartley Norton; sisters and brothers in law, Pamelia and Patrick McCarthy and Melinda and Richard Hartline; 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Robert will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with W.C. Pence officiating, interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday morning before the service starting at 10:00 AM.
