Ruby G. Hampton, age 89, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was born on November 20, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hampton; parents, Luther and Matilda Goodnight; brother, Roy Goodnight; sisters, Gladis Tow and Cleo Seabolt. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Charles Rick and Vicky Hampton of Chatsworth; daughters and son in law, Judy and James Dempsey of Tunnel Hill, Kathy Hampton of Dalton, Shelly Hampton of Dalton; granddaughter, Katie and her husband Adam Sanford of Chatsworth; great grandchildren, Simon and Arkley Sanford of Chatsworth; special friends, Johnny Gribble, Tammy and Tony Cochran. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ruby G. Hampton will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2018 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Dunagan Cemetery.
