Ruby K. Mathis, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, October 9, 2015. She was born on February 13, 1946. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy E. Mathis; daughter Nikki Mathis a son, Phillip Bowman; and her parents, A.C. and V.L. Carroll. Ruby is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Scott and Alicia Mathis of Dalton, and Mike/Joeline Bowman of Etowah, TN; brother and sister in law, Vernon and Teresa Carroll of Cleveland, TN; sisters and brother in law, Lilly and Junior Pierce of Cleveland, TN, and Louise/Edward Scoggins of Cleveland, TN; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ruby K. Mathis will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Gerald and Brother Phillip Mathis officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens.
