Mr. Russell Lamar Patterson, age 68, of Cohutta, Ga, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1957. Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Patterson; parents, Elden Patterson and Joyce Brown; grandchild, Christa Pritchett; sister, Donna Patterson.

Mr. Patterson proudly served in the United States Army where he received a National Defense Service Medal. Russell was a marksman and loved his guns and the outdoors, he drove a truck for years and enjoyed traveling, and cooking.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his sons, Steven Patterson (Crystal), Dallas Patterson, Chris Pritchett; Daughter Michelle Champion; Fence`, Kerry Tuner; brother, Roger Brown; grandchildren, Mckayla Bearden, Preston Sutton, Tiffany Elkins, Ashley Harrison, Destiny Sutton, and Austin Garrett; Special friend Kerri Turner

A service to celebrate the life of Russell Lamar Patterson will be held at a later date. Family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Dalton Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dalton Funeral Home. 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, Ga. 30721.
