Mrs. Ruth Adeline Spraker Robertson, age 88, of Dalton, GA. passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. She was born on September 7, 1934. She was first and foremost a loving, caring mother to her four children. Her piano-playing talents and enjoyment of music were likewise passed on to kids and grandkids. Being the wife of Minister of Music, J. Wayne Robertson (died 11/13/2021) brought extra church-related responsibilities. She helped with choir rehearsals, piano and organ lessons, prayer meetings, visitations, etc. while keeping the family central to all activities. She was doing skits and still playing her "Happy Gospel Boogie" hymns until she fell and broke her hip a couple of years ago. A slow decline in health followed and now Mama has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her sons and wives, Anthony/Vicki Robertson and Geoff/Jody Robertson; daughters and husbands, Janet/Randy Wensel and Amy/Tommy Gravitte; grandchildren, Mallory Gravitte Travis, Kelsey Gravitte Cleveland, Haley Gravitte, Nathan Gravitte, Tyler Gravitte, Rylee Gravitte, Eric Gravitte, James Robertson, Sam Robertson, Lee Johnson, and Wes Johnson; great-grandchildren, Caiden Travis, Cooper Hutchins, Hunter Johnson, Dash Johnson, and Miles Cleveland. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruth Adeline Spraker Robertson will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Dug Gap Baptist Church in Dalton with Pastor Duane Mills officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Dug Gap Baptist Church.
