Sallie Jenever Baker, age 80, of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020. She was born on October 22, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baker; parents, Tonie and Ethel Lofty; sisters, Beatrice Smythers, Nancy Rogers, and Stella Workman. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Billy and Chasity Franks of Dalton, Jimmy and Bobbie Smythers of Dalton, James Smythers of Dalton; daughters and sons in law, Connie and Mark Lindsey of Dalton, Martha and Ricky Kyle of Dalton, Barbara Joyner of West Virginia; brothers and sisters in law, Dan and Dovie Lofty of Dalton, Bill and Judy Lofty of Dalton; sister, Martha Franks of Dalton; almost 30 grandchildren; almost 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Sallie Jenever Baker will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Winston officiating. Interment will be at Dogwood Valley Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Josh Ray, Cameron Franks, Allen Condra, Mark Lindsey, Robert Couch, and Billy Hewitt will be serving as pallbearers.
