Samuel Mathew Hedden, age 64 of Dalton, Ga Passed away May 20, 2023, at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. Matt was born March 26, 1959, in Murphy, NC to the late Nancy and William Hedden. He was proceeded in death by a sister Sandra Hedden Carroll and a brother Larry Hedden. Matt is survived by his wife Carla Hedden, son Tyler Hedden, daughters Carley and Jessica Hedden, brothers Dean (Lisa) Hedden and Jimmy (Brooke) Hedden, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friends Trudy (Mark) Stepp. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org). A private memorial service will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 1:00 PM till 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home . Pastor Johnny West will be officiating.
