Sandra Kay York Blankenship, age 55, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was born on December 10, 1961 in Dalton, GA. Sandra was an avid reader and lover of animals. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Belle Defore. She is survived by her parents; Garrett York of Dalton and Billie York of Rocky Face; daughter and son-in law, Laura and Ronald Beavers of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in law, Justin and Terah Blankenship of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Kristina York of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Charlie Stines of Ringgold; grandchildren, Ciara Snyder, Annie Defore, Corey Beavers, Lance Beavers, Emerson Blankenship and Bishop Blankenship; 3 special nephews, Joey, Jamie and Cody Hamill and 1 special niece, Layla Hollifield. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Sandra Kay York Blankenship will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Branam officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Dalton Funeral Home for visitation from 5-8 PM on Wednesday evening.
