Sara Ann Griggs age 87, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Sara was born in Pickens County, GA, on May 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Grady Hamrick and Naomi Charles Hamrick. She enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Griggs; daughter-in-law, Melinda Kay Griggs; two brothers-in-law, Ray Dixon and Joe Desalvo; and two nieces, Samantha Jackson and Shelda Kinnmon; and a nephew, Eddie Cooper. Survivors include a son, David F. Griggs; daughter, Schueuretha Ramirez (Jose Ramirez Luna); grandchildren, Stephanie Rae Griggs, Kristin Blackmon, Candace Kirk (Ryan), William Daniel (Brandy), Sarah Todd (Aaron), and Carmen Todd; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Samuel Hamrick (Shirley); two sisters, Barbara Dixon and Eloise Desalvo; nephews, Kenneth Carroll (Kim) and Michael Johnson; and a special friend, Caron D.
