Sherry Sue Johns, born August 28, 1951, in McCaysville, passed away on October 6, 2026, at AdventHealth Redmond.

Sherry will be remembered for the spirit she brought to those around her. She was spunky, funny, and straight to the point, and she could be a handful at times in a way that made her unforgettable to the people who knew and loved her. Above all, she was a great, loving, and fantastic mother, and that love stands as one of the defining gifts of her life.

She is survived by her son, David Rhea, and sister, Debbie Johns, who carries forward her memory with love.

Sherry was preceded in death by David Rhea, the father of her son and her former husband, and by George Tanner, her former husband.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and lasting gratitude for the love, laughter, and strength she shared.
