Shirley Bowen, age 72, of Chatsworth, Georgia went to go be with the Lord and her husband, the love her life Ray Edward Bowen on October 23, 2022. She was born on May 31, 1950. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her mother, Frieda Leyellyn "McMillian" Chambers; sons, Ray Edward Bowen, Marshall Bowen She is survived by her father, Emmett Floyd Chambers of Chatsworth; brother, Leslie and Vera Chambers of Cohutta; sister, Yvonne and Eddie Sampson of Chatsworth; special friends, Linda and Joann; grandchildren, Blake and Cassie Bowen, Monica and Chris Gaddis, John and Mirista Bowen, Bridgette Bowen; seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shirley Bowen will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM. The family will be receiving friends for visitation at the church on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 4:00 PM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
